E2E Long Arm Quilting Services

Due to recent construction of my quilting studio and current backlog, I am not currently taking any intakes.  I hope to be able to start accepting orders again soon.

Welcome to Quilted Whisker

I specialize in edge-to-edge longarm quilting in a clean, smoke-free environment. My goal is to help bring your quilt to life with beautiful stitching and thoughtful finishing touches.

For your convenience, I keep Quilters Dream batting in stock and available for purchase.

Please note: I do not currently offer quilting services for T-shirt quilts.

Current Turnaround Time

My current turnaround time is approximately 2 weeks from the date your quilt is received (not including return shipping time).

Turnaround times may vary during peak seasons, but this website and the intake form are always updated with the most current estimates.

Need your quilt sooner? A limited number of Rush Service openings are available for an additional $50. I’ll confirm availability after reviewing your intake form.

Edge-to-Edge Quilting (E2E)

Edge-to-edge quilting designs stitch continuously across the entire quilt, creating a cohesive and beautifully finished look. Designs flow seamlessly over borders, seams, and piecing, making this style both versatile and timeless.

I offer a wide variety of pantograph designs to complement every quilt style. You can browse a sample of available pantographs HERE.

If there’s a specific design you’d love that I don’t currently own, I’m happy to download it and split the cost with you. Some of my favorite panto sources include Urban Elementz and Intelligent Quilting.

The sky’s the limit — choose a design that speaks to your quilt!

Edge-to-Edge Pricing

  • $0.03 per square inch
  • No additional fees for thread or needles
  • Minimum quilting charge: $60

Pricing Example

To estimate your quilting cost:

  1. Measure your quilt top width × length
  2. Multiply the total square inches by $0.03

Example:

70″ × 70″ = 4,900 square inches
4,900 × $0.03 = $147

Thread Options

I use premium Glide thread and offer a wide variety of colors to compliment your quilt beautifully.

For the best stitch quality, the same thread color is used in both the top and bobbin. Using different colors can sometimes create tension inconsistencies or allow thread colors to show through to the opposite side.

You’re welcome to choose your preferred thread color, or I’ll happily select one that enhances your quilt.

Batting

I currently offer the following Quilters Dream batting options:

  • Quilters Dream 80/20 Cotton Blend — $0.39 per linear inch
  • Quilters Dream Bamboo — $0.39 per linear inch
  • Quilters Dream Wool — $0.42 per linear inch

You are also welcome to provide your own high-quality batting.

Please note: I do not accept Fairfield, Toasty, or Mountain Mist batting.

If you’d like another Quilters Dream option, I’m happy to special order it for you.

Sales tax applies to batting purchases only in accordance with Arkansas state regulations.

Batting Calculation Example

To calculate batting cost:

  1. Add 8″ to your quilt width
  2. Multiply by the batting price

Example:

50″ quilt width + 8″ overage = 58″
58 × $0.39 = $22.62

Quilt Preparation Tips

For the best quilting results, please:

  • Clip loose threads from the back of your quilt top
  • Press your quilt top thoroughly so seams lay flat
  • Ensure borders lie flat and are not wavy
  • Double-check seams for gaps or loose stitching
  • Remove embellishments before shipping

These small preparation steps help create the smoothest possible finish.

Backing Fabric Guidelines

Backing fabric must extend at least 5 inches beyond the quilt top on all sides.

Accepted backing materials include:

  • Quilter’s cotton
  • Flannel
  • Minky

If using Minky, a seamless backing is preferred whenever possible. If seams are necessary, please:

  • Run seams horizontally
  • Leave selvedges untrimmed

I’m unable to quilt with fleece, bed sheets, or other non-traditional backing materials.

Backing Preparation Services

  • Standard backing seam: $15 per seam
  • Minky seam: $25 per seam
